Under the aegis of Samarth Bharat’s Career Development Center (CDC), a two-day Startup Accelerator Program was organized at Delhi University on the 27th and 28th of October 2023, in collaboration with Udhmodya Foundation. The conclave aimed to promote and empower emerging entrepreneurs by providing them with a platform to showcase their innovative startup ideas and receive mentorship and support for future growth.
The event witnessed overwhelming participation, with more than 350 aspiring entrepreneurs registering from across the country. After a rigorous selection process, 130 promising participants were shortlisted and invited to the conclave. These selected entrepreneurs presented their startup ideas across three different thematic tracks, tailored to various sectors and business domains.
From these presentations, 36 outstanding startups were identified to proceed to the second round, where they had the opportunity to present more detailed pitches to a panel of experts and industry professionals. Based on innovation, impact, and potential scalability, 24 startups were finally selected for further support.
Each of these 24 entrepreneurs received a certificate of merit, along with a commitment of support from Samarth Bharat and Udhmodya Foundation. This support includes mentorship, networking opportunities, and possible funding connections, designed to help them build sustainable and impactful ventures.
This conclave marked a significant step in Samarth Bharat’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and innovation among India’s youth.
