The Career Development Centre of Kirori Mal College (University of Delhi), in collaboration with Samarth Bharat Udyamodya Foundation, successfully launched an Add-On Course on Design Thinking and Innovation. The program aims to equip students with creative problem-solving skills and an entrepreneurial mindset — essential tools in today’s innovation-driven economy.
The inauguration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across 24 colleges of Delhi University, as well as from reputed institutions such as Delhi Technological University (DTU) and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU).
The event was graced by prominent dignitaries who shared their insights and experiences with the student community:
- Mr. Rajnish Goenka, Chairman, MSME Development Forum, delivered an inspiring address. Sharing his personal entrepreneurial journey, he emphasized the importance of the Three Cs of Entrepreneurship — Courage, Consistency, and Conviction — as the pillars of lasting success in business. His speech offered practical wisdom drawn from real-life experiences, resonating deeply with aspiring entrepreneurs.
- Mr. Bharat Bhushan Arora, Chief Visionary, Samarth Bharat, urged students to become job creators rather than job seekers. Through real stories of successful entrepreneurs, he highlighted the mindset, vision, and resilience required to launch and sustain impactful ventures. His words encouraged students to take confident steps toward entrepreneurship, turning ideas into action.
- Prof. Dinesh Khattar, Principal, Kirori Mal College, emphasized the growing significance of innovation and startups in shaping the future of students and the Indian economy. He noted that programs like this are essential to bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application.
The session also acknowledged the tireless efforts of:

With a strong start and such enthusiastic participation, this course is set to become a milestone initiative for empowering the youth with 21st-century entrepreneurial and innovation skills.
