New Delhi, October 17, 2025: Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) signed Memorandums of
Understanding (MoUs) with Samarth Bharat and Sewa Bharti on 17 October 2025, to collaboratively strengthen skill development, social empowerment, and community engagement initiatives in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Pankaj Lathar, Joint Director (Public Relations) and Campus Director, DSEU Dwarka, who extended greetings to all dignitaries and partners present, including Dr. Shonal Gupta (Coordinator), Sh. Nikhil Bansal (Patron), Sh. Rakesh Kumar Gupta (Co-coordinator), Prof. Ravinder Kaur (Co-coordinator, CDC), among others, from Samarth Bharat. Also in attendance were representatives from Seva Bharti, including Sh. Sushil Gupta (General Secretary), Sh. Gulshan Narang (Secretary), Sh. Amarnath (Community Reach), among others. From DSEU, the gathering was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Nagawat, Registrar, Prof. Gagan Dhawan, Director (Academics), Prof. Kamna Sachdeva, Joint Director (Partnerships), Dr. Suman Dhawan, Campus Directors, and faculty members.
Speaking about Samarth Bharat, the representatives shared that their organization, an initiative of the Bhartiya Drishtikon Seva Nyas (BDSN), envisions empowering the socially and economically weaker sections of society to become self-reliant and live with dignity. Through skill development and training programs, Samarth Bharat equips unemployed youth with practical skills for employment or entrepreneurship, emphasizing nationbuilding.
Representatives from Sewa Bharti highlighted the organization’s volunteer-driven approach and its motto “Sewa Hi Paramo Dharma” — service as the highest virtue — describing their impactful work across educational, social, self-reliance projects, including disaster relief, child welfare, women empowerment, and rehabilitation of marginalized communities. They elaborated on their government-approved adoption agency, cochlear implant initiatives for hearing-impaired children, etc.
Following these addresses, Dr. Lathar invited the Joint Director (Partnerships) to commence the formal MoU signing. He also shared details of other recent partnerships DSEU has undertaken, reaffirming the university’s commitment to linking skill-based education with societal development.

In his address, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor emphasized DSEU’s vision of transforming education from a colonial model into a more practical, skill-oriented framework. He stressed that skill-based learning must reach every section of society through short-term, outcome-oriented programs — adding that “the real measure of education is not the length of the course, but the mastery of the skill.” He also highlighted that all MoUs signed by DSEU are reviewed quarterly to ensure tangible outcomes and meaningful collaboration. He expressed confidence that partnerships with Samarth Bharat and Sewa Bharti will catalyze new skill development programs, benefiting underprivileged and marginalized communities.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Director Academics, Prof. Kamna Sachdeva, who reiterated that “skill is the foundation of development and growth.”
