Samarth Bharat inaugurated a new AC, Refrigerator, and Home Appliances Repair Training Center in Panvel, Maharashtra. This center has been launched in collaboration with Laghu Udyog Bharati and the Jan Samar Foundation, as part of a shared mission to empower youth with industry-relevant technical skills.
The inauguration was made even more special by the esteemed presence of several distinguished guests:
- Mr. Maruti Pawar – President, Raigad District, Laghu Udyog Bharati
- Mr. Prashant Thakur – Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Panvel
- Mr. Vikrant Balasaheb Patil – Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Panvel
- Mr. Avneesh Chaudhary – CEO, Worko
- Mr. Vijay Biju – Director of India Operations, Assurant
Their participation added significance to the occasion, highlighting the growing alliance between government, industry, and grassroots organizations to promote skill development and self-reliance.
The objective of this new training center is to equip youth with practical, hands-on skills in:
- Air Conditioner servicing and repair
- Refrigerator diagnostics and maintenance
- Home appliance troubleshooting and repair
Through this initiative, Samarth Bharat aims to bridge the skill gap in the service sector and provide sustainable career opportunities to young individuals, especially those from underserved communities.This launch marks a significant step in the direction of building an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). Trainees from this center will not only become job-ready technicians but also have the potential to start their own small businesses in the home appliance servicing sector.
By expanding access to vocational education, this initiative supports long-term goals of employment generation, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment at the local level.
