The Nari Shakti Foundation organized a powerful and peaceful protest march titled Nari Shakti March in New Delhi. The march was held in strong condemnation of the ongoing violence, sexual assaults, kidnappings, and systemic oppression against Hindu women in Bangladesh, and to raise awareness about the targeted persecution of Hindus in the region.
The event served as a call to action against gender-based violence and communal atrocities, standing in solidarity with the affected women and communities across borders.
Participation by Samarth Bharat
As a strong supporter of women’s empowerment and human rights, Samarth Bharat actively participated in the march. The organization mobilized:
- 150 trainees from 8 different skill development centers
- 8 trainers, each representing their respective training center
- Several senior members and volunteers of Samarth Bharat
The participants marched with banners, posters, and placards demanding justice, protection of minority rights, and international attention to the plight of Hindu women in Bangladesh. Their presence represented the voice of empowered Indian women standing in unity for their sisters beyond borders.
Highlights of the Event
- Chants of unity and justice filled the air as participants peacefully walked from their assembly point to Mandi House, one of Delhi’s key public demonstration areas.
- Slogans and messages emphasized “Stop atrocities on Hindu women”, “Justice for victims in Bangladesh”, and “Women’s safety is a human right”.
- Nari Shakti Foundation leaders addressed the gathering, calling upon national and international bodies to take strong action and ensure human rights for minority women.
The march was not just a protest but also a symbol of cross-border solidarity, driven by organizations that believe in empowering women not only with skills but also with voice and dignity.
The participation of young women from Samarth Bharat training centers reflected the organization’s commitment to nurturing socially aware and responsible citizens, who are willing to stand up for justice and collective humanity.
