Skill Development Training at Bharti College, Delhi University

Bharti College (Delhi University) in collaboration with Samarth Bharat inaugurated a Skill Development Training Program focused on Bakery and Nail Art under a student-centric approach. The training will continue for one month on the college campus, benefiting over 80 female students.

The program commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony, attended by:

  • Suresh Kumar, Vice Principal, KVIC
  • Professor Manju Sharma, Acting Principal, Bharti College
  • Dr. Princy Jain, Program Coordinator
  • Vimlok Tiwari, E-Cell Nodal Officer

During the event, Rakesh Kumar highlighted that Samarth Bharat has helped over 1,000 individuals in Delhi establish their own enterprises or secure jobs through 27 training centers.

Professor Manju Sharma appreciated the efforts of Samarth Bharat and KVIC in nurturing entrepreneurship among students. She expressed hope that this initiative would become a model program for other colleges under Delhi University.

Suresh Kumar assured the students that this journey would not stop at just acquiring skills but would also support them in setting up their own ventures.

Dr. Princy Jain emphasized the enthusiastic participation and quick enrollment in both the bakery and nail art courses, considering it a promising start. She looked forward to a positive transformation in students’ skills in the coming weeks.

Vimlok Tiwari connected the program’s vision to the holistic development goals of the National Education Policy, viewing the training not just as a skill-building activity but as a nation-building endeavor.

The inaugural ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, after which the participants engaged in their respective course activities.
